The "06" edition of EA Sports' classic hockey series hits the ice with a number of new features. The "Skill Stick" control option is designed to allow players to aim their shots more accurately, with a quick flip of the right analog stick. The game's "Real Puck Motion" ("R.P.M.") physics system is designed to accurately reflect the sheer power of that little hunk of hard rubber moving at 90 mph, and allows effects like "rippling the twine" of the net, or even bumping the goalie's water bottle. Fast-moving pucks may now even injure unwary defensemen, or cause goalies to lose their cool. In addition to puck movement, the momentum of the players themselves is now accounted for. Larger players can put their full force into a clean check, but smaller players will be more agile, and able to turn more quickly to avoid those big hits. Favorite features from earlier seasons return, including professional play-by-play and color commentary, the chance to design and develop a custom player, and full representation of the National Hockey League's real-life teams, players, and arenas.

Golf superstar Tiger Woods invites gamers back to the links in this "06" edition of EA's exclusive pro golfing game. Once again, players can use EA Sports' "Game Face" tools to create their own custom golfer, and then prove their skills on the virtual links against stars of the sport both past and present, including Jack Nicklaus, Arnold Palmer, Ben Hogan, and of course, Tiger himself. Well over a dozen real-life golfers are represented, on re-creations of PGA Tour courses fantasy venues. New to this year's edition is a "Rival" mode, which allows gamers to challenge stars of the sport in the prime of their games.

Players resume the tension-heavy role of NSA operative Sam Fischer for this third game in the Tom Clancy stealth-action spin-off series, Splinter Cell. A new kind of war is being fought in 2008, and information is the weapon. Enemies of the free world can now orchestrate devastation from afar, through such means as power outages and financial sabotage. The only way to stop them is with the same weapon they've chosen to use: information. Players must infiltrate enemy operations to recover secret data that can be used to prevent the enemies' attacks and leave them defenseless. Chaos Theory boasts more fluid combat and stealth moves than its predecessors, bringing a new athleticism to the grim Sam Fischer and allowing quick, hand-to-hand stealth kills. As with earlier Splinter Cell games, Chaos Theory is also designed to push the technical limits of the consoles on which it appears, in terms of its physics model and graphics. Levels were built to offer more possible paths to their objectives -- and more opposition as well. Two-player infiltration is supported, however, allowing gamers to use teamwork to overcome the most challenging obstacles.The PlayStation 2 version of Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory supports a cooperative multiplayer mode in split-screen and an online "Versus" mode for Internet-connected players.

This simple, addictive gameplay is modeled after the classic arcade game. It includes four different modes of play: Classic, Modern Classic, Challenge and Survival. There are five different worlds to choose from, each with its own unique hazards and rewards. Watch out for Ninja, Pilot, Thief and Golden Moles that all fight back.
